When you become a parent you are met with so many new challenges.
You are in charge of someone’s life now. Whatever they need you are there to
provide. A child’s education is something you have to think about also. Do you
want to send them to a public school like a lot of society does or would you like
to send them to a private school which, is a lot more expensive? When I was
looking this up this is a very debated topic.
According to greatschools.org “The most obvious discrepancy between public and private
schools comes down to cold, hard cash.” (5) I know for a fact that private schools
are a lot more expensive then public school considering public school cannot
charge for tuition. When you think of the typical Catholic Central kid you
think of the spoiled rotten rich kid, but I know a lot of people that went to
that school and they are some of the nicest people I know. However a lot of them
are spoiled rich kids. Some people say that a private education is better than
a public I think it’s the same. Both schools need to teach the same thing. Both
schools have certain things you need to cover in class. Private schools may have
more classes you could choose from but they generally teach the same things.
This topic is very interesting and you could go many different ways with it. I think you should definitely talk about the money aspect and even dress code differences between the two!
ReplyDeleteI think your topic is very interesting. Talking about financial situations between the two is a great idea because that's what it usually comes down to for situations like this.
ReplyDeleteVery cool topic, I will be interested to see the facts and question whether or not i should have went to a private school or if i should send my future kids to a private school or not.
ReplyDeleteInteresting topic, there are (as stated by Morgan) many ways you can go with this. I did notice, in the beginning of that "in charge of a person's life know", the word "know" should be changed to "now".
ReplyDeleteYour topic sounds very interesting. I have never been to a private school, so I am interested to hear what your final essay has to say. I also loved how you included a quote in your summary.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this is a very debatable topic, and people will be interesting to see what stance you take on it.
